Description:
Four shells of Lunarca ovalis (Bruguière, 1789); during the 20th century called Anadara ovalis (Bruguière, 1789)[1]; collected in Itanhaém Beach, São Paulo, Brazil (October 9, 1988). The species is distributed from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, to Texas (United States) and going to Venezuela, Brazil and Uruguay.
