Lumpkin County, Chattahoochee National Forest, take the Blue Ridge Mountain road to the southeast side of Hawk Mountain, edge of Forest Service road 42, about one mile from Hawk Mt. Road. Habitat: Rich hardwood forest with some light decending. Associated plants: Liriodendron tulipifera, Oxydendron arboreum, Kalmia latifolia, Acer rubrum and Quercus nigrum.
