Description:
Quercus tomentella—island oak. Grows on the Channel Islands of California and on Guadalupe Island of Baja California. The species is still threatened on Guadalupe Island by feral goats (goats have been removed from the United States islands. The plant that provided the leaves scanned grows at Regional Parks Botanic Garden located in Tilden Regional Park near Berkeley, CA.
