Summary[edit] Description: Smallwing sedge in the subalpine can produce thick stems and bunches with relatively few of these stems (10-20 versus over 30). Otherwise, the globose head, brown pistillate bracts, and flat brown perigynia measuring 3-4 mm long and less then 2 mm wide are characteristic of this sedge species. Date: 19 August 2016, 18:26.
