Summary[edit] Description: A common bunched sedge in open understory from montane to subalpine elevations. Multiple spikes congested into short wide heads, individual spikes with pistillate flowers above the staminate, the relatively narrow, flat, and green to brown perigynia with a narrow serrulate margins, each subtended by a brown scale, combine to distinguish this sedge.
