Description:
Summary[edit] Description: English: Roseate Skimmer - Orthemis ferruginea, Dinner Island Ranch Wildlife Management Area, Florida. This is probably the dragonfly that I have seen most often without getting a picture. They seem to fly tantalizingly to another perch which is out of macro range. I creep up as cautiously as I am capable, and as I raise my lens very slowly, it flies to another perch. Yesterday I finally got a shot. It's not perfect, but it was good enough to keep. Next year, I think I'll try dragons with a longer lens. Date: 13 December 2015, 16:56:10. Source: https://www.flickr.com/photos/52450054@N04/23115210494/. Author: Judy Gallagher.
