Description:
Description: "Sun Star", 20 armed star, and various other common names. You need to be very careful, as the "arms" are very easy to break off, so best to just take an image. Supposedly the fastest and one of the most voracious of the sea stars. I think they have some beautiful colors. This is my favorite sea star. Date: 23 July 2013, 19:32. Source: Pycnopodia helianthoides. Author: Jerry Kirkhart from Los Osos, Calif.
