Description:
Summary[edit] Description: This is a piece of lichen on our plum tree, showing what I think are apothecia. These are the fruiting bodies of the fungal part of the partnership, usually seen as an open, saucer-shaped or cup-shaped body. Apparently the algal part doesn't fruit or reproduce. Date: Taken on 26 June 2020, 13:54. Source: Apothecia. Author: Peter Kerrawn from Moss Vale, Australia. Flickr tagsnature, fungus, lifecycle, macro.
