Summary[edit] Description: English: Anthopleura elegantissima - aggregating anemone Location: Laguna Beach, CA, USA The tide was low and the animal was a few inches underwater when the photograph was taken from above the water. There are mussels(probably Mytilus californaius) and a hermit crab in the pictue. Identification: This anemone has stripes on the oral disks and tentacles with colored tips.
