Description: Bristles occur below the spikelets and are pale at the base and coloured towards the tip. Spikelets are 3–3.4 mm long; lower glume is 30-40% of the spikelet length; upper 45-65% as long as the spikelet. Lower lemma is usually sterile and as long as spikelet.
