Image of birch

Description:

Summary[edit] Description: English: This photo shows young birch trees in spring on the high moor, in the large peat lands of Fochterloerveen in Drenthe, between Smilde and Assen, in the Netherlands. It is one of the best and largest conserved Dutch high moor landscapes. Nederlands: uitzicht oo een zandweg met dunne berkenbomen op het Fochterloërveen met nog kleurloze heide, op de grens van Drenthe en Friesland; hoge resolutie foto van FotoDutch in Mei 2012. Date: 22 May 2012, 16:36:40. Source: Own work. Author: Fons Heijnsbroek. The heath - on the forground - is still dark and will start to color in July. The sandy and dry soil in the moor does very well for the birches. Licensing[edit] : This file is made available under the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication.
