Lush Herbaceous Ground Cover of Lenga Forests (3320214255)
Description:
Description: I took this photo because the thick herbaceous ground cover reminded me so much of the Great Smokies or central Canada. However only about three species are present in this shot: Osmorhiza chilensis, Achaena magellanica?, and a little Adenocaulon chilense. The species-poor forest has only one species of tree, no shrubs, and very few herbs. It is, however, made up for in diversity of fungi!. Date: 26 February 2009, 09:17.
