Description:

Summary[edit] Description: Uffmoor Wood, Worcestershire. For the second time this year (at two different sites) I have cut down a small sallow (150mm diameter), while carrying out conservation work, to reveal the larval burrows of the Lunar Hornet moth. The first sallow definitely had larvae present and my County Recorder is trying to rear adults. I'm not sure whether I have any larvae in these sections but I will keep them on damp sand in a container hoping to rear if present. All records on the Worcestershire database are from instances like this or are exit holes on sallows, the only adults seen have been reared from larvae. Date: 27 February 2013, 11:51.
