Summary[edit] Description: English: Species: Carduus acanthoides L ssp.acanthoides Common names: giant plumeless thistle, bristly or spiny thistle. Deutsch: Deutscher Name: Stachel-Distel, akanthusblättrige Distel, Weg-Distel. Höhe: 0,30 bis 1,50 m Blühende Pflanze ohne grundständige Blattrosette. Stängel dornig kraus geflügelt, bis (fast) zur Spitze beblättert. Blätter herablaufend, beiderseits grün, meist kahl, tief-fiederspaltig, mit meist 2lappigen, gezähnten, dornig-bewimperten Fiedern. Blättchen des Hüllkelches bogenförmig-abstehend. Kronenkörbchen meist purpurrot, 10 – 25 mm breit. Früchtchen: 3 mm, braun, Ringwulst mit kegeliger Spitze. Literatur: 1.
