Description:

Summary[edit] Description: The pasqueflower (or May flower or crocus, among other names) is a species native to the northern U.S. and Canada. It is usually found only on sod that has never been broken. It is one of the earliest bloomers, and shows up as daubs of pale purple against the yellow and browns of the grasses in April and early May in North Dakota. These were found on the North Brinkman WPA in the Kulm Wetland Management District. Photo Credit: Krista Lundgren/USFWS. Date: 1 May 2014, 12:22. Source: Pasqueflowers.
