Lathyrus splendens—pride of California. A vine-like wild pea that clambers over chapparral plants in its restricted range of southern San Diego County and Baja California. Few peas can match L. splendens for showiness. Photographed at Regional Parks Botanic Garden located in Tilden Regional Park near Berkeley, CA.
