Summary[edit] Description: English: Some of the black bears at Anan Wildlife Observatory like to squeeze themselves under the main viewing deck, either to come out the other side or just hang out for a while. The observatory is located 30 miles southeast of the town of Wrangell. Anan Creek has the largest run of pink salmon in Southeast Alaska, which supports the high density of black and brown bears.
