Notes on identification[edit] Pink spore powder, smooth spores 8×4.5µ Cap whitish with brown scales in centre, later fawn Gill edges mostly same colour as faces Distinctive 3-spined thick-walled pleurocystidia, 50×13µ Growing on wood débris Pleasant smell, like hay, a bit fruity Some books distinguish P. curtisii, which is similar, but that species is not a recommended name of Index Fungorum, so I ignore it.
