Description:
the gartersnake after it regurgitated the newt. The snake was a bit “green behind the gills” for a while, then seemed to be just fine. Many gartersnakes are immune to the toxicity of newts but this one didn’t appear to be all that interested in keeping it down. At Sunol Regional Wilderness, Alameda County, March 5, 2015
