Xylobolus subpileatus 502187

Image of Russulales

Description:

Summary[edit] Description: Xylobolus subpileatus(Berk. & M.A. Curtis) Location: Lower Meramec Park, Missouri, USA. Observation Notes: Many specimens of Xylobolus subpileatus are on this log found with the fertile side facing outward – looking first a bit like a crust-type fungi. But the reverse side showing narrow zones of color. This certainly appears to be a dry and weathered group. : For more information about this, see the observation page at Mushroom Observer.
