Description:
Summary[edit] Description: Galls induced byTamalia coweni—manzanita leaf gall aphids. The second focus stack of the day. I had high hopes for this stack as there was a winged aphid flitting around as I photographed the images. I was certain that either the aphid was memorialized for posterity or the critter had ruined the stack. Neither happened. The plant is Arctostaphylos parryana. It is at Regional Parks Botanic Garden located in Tilden Regional Park near Berkeley, CA. Date: 9 August 2014, 16:11. Source: 2014-08-09-15.07.09 ZS PMax Tamalia coweni-1.
