Summary[edit] Description: Behoort tot de hennepfamilie (Cannabaceae). De hopbellen (vrouwelijke vruchtkegels) worden als conserveer- en smaakmiddel gebruikt bij het brouwen van bier. Hop is een vaste plant die overwintert als wortelstok. Plantspecies in the Cannabaceae family. It is a climbing plant which sends up new shoots in early spring and dies back to a cold-hardy rhizome in autumn. Hop is an ingredient in most beers. The fragrant flower cones impart bitterness and flavor, and also preservative qualities. Pflanzenart in die Familie der Hanfgewächse (Cannabaceae).
